Being a freshman in a new country can be a whirlwind of emotions. With courses like Accounting Principles, Finance Fundamentals, and Marketing Basics on my plate, along with the language barrier, cultural adjustment, and visa stress, it's safe to say I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed.

I'm a pretty diligent student, always trying to stay on top of my work, but lately, I've been struggling to manage my stress levels. I find myself missing home more often than not. So, I wanted to reach out to the community here and ask for some advice.

How do y'all deal with stress during those tough weeks? Do you have any tips or resources on campus that have helped you navigate through overwhelming times? I'm grateful for any suggestions or words of wisdom y'all can share. Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this.

Jordan, first of all—welcome to Mississippi State! 🎉 What you're feeling is totally normal. I'm a junior now, but my freshman year was rough too. Have you checked out the Student Counseling Services? It's free and they actually understand the international student struggle. Also, the International Student Office hosts coffee hours—great way to meet others who get it. You're not alone, Hail State! 🐶
