Best part-time gigs for students in Mississippi? (Trying to stay afloat 💧)

Hey y'all! 👋
I’m studying down in Hattiesburg (Southern Miss represent! 🦅) and my wallet is feeling a little too light these days. I need to find a student job that doesn't make me want to drop out, but actually pays the bills (or at least funds my Chick-fil-A addiction).

I’ve been looking around, but I feel like a lot of the "student job" listings online are just generic retail stuff that doesn't work with a crazy class schedule. I need something flexible. I’m willing to drive a bit, maybe over to the Coast or even up to Jackson if the money is right.

Does anyone have leads on places that are actually hiring students right now? I’m thinking about maybe trying to get on with the university itself—I hear the library gigs are pretty chill because you can study while you work. Also, I’ve seen a few things about tutoring gigs if you have a high GPA in a specific subject.

Any hidden gems? Maybe a cool local coffee shop downtown, or some landscaping work on the weekends? I’m open to anything honest. Just trying to make that paper without messing up my studies. Share your wisdom, please! 😅🙏

Bro check out this weird but easy gig - CampusReel is hiring USM students to make videos about campus life. It's like $150 for 5-10 hours of work total, you just film stuff around campus with your phone and talk about being a student here . Super flexible cause you do it whenever.

Also the Content Specialist job at the School of Media and Communication pays $12/hr and you get actual journalism experience . They want high school students but also take college kids I think.

For regular jobs, Lowe's in Hattiesburg is almost always hiring part-time and pays like $12-15 . Not glamorous but money is money 🤷‍♂️
