How do you even make friends when you don't know anyone? 😬

I read this article with advice from UM staff about adjusting to college life . They said things like "keep an open mind" and "don't be afraid to reach out." Easy for them to say. They already have jobs and friends and know how this place works.

Jeremy Roberts, some learning specialist at UM, said freshmen go from having maybe 200 people in their high school graduating class to having 200 people in ONE college lecture . That's literally me. I graduated with 150 people. My psych lecture has 300.

He also said transfer students have it even harder because they're usually working or commuting . I'm not a transfer but I'm working 20 hours a week at a coffee shop. By the time I'm done with work and homework, I have zero energy to be social.

How do you make friends when you're exhausted all the time? Anyone figured this out? 🤠
