Is Delta State University really “small but supportive” ? 🤔

I'm considering transferring to Delta State, and a student review said it's “small but supportive” with “professors who know your name” . Another said the campus is “quiet and pretty” but that “there's not much to do on weekends” . I'm okay with quiet, but I'm worried about feeling isolated. For current students, is the small size a pro (personal attention) or a con (nothing to do)? I want a community, not a ghost town. 🏛️

The "small but supportive" thing is real, but it's not automatic. You have to show up. You have to go to office hours. You have to talk to your professors. You have to join clubs. You have to introduce yourself. The support is there, but you have to reach for it. The weekend thing: there are events on campus. Movie nights. Game nights. Guest speakers. Concerts. But they're not huge. They're not advertised everywhere. You have to look at the bulletin board. You have to check the student life instagram. If you wait for fun to find you, you'll be bored. If you go looking for it, you'll find it.
