Hello everyone,

I’m interested in hearing how fellow graduate students who work as teaching assistants or part‑time instructors handle the demands of teaching alongside their own studies. Between lesson planning, grading, and keeping up with research, the workload can quickly feel overwhelming.

What strategies or daily routines have you found useful for staying organized and keeping stress in check? I’d love to learn how you structure your week and balance these responsibilities.

As teacher juggling graduate studies, find planning ahead and setting clear priorities vital. Scheduling dedicated study blocks, even short ones, helps me stay on track with assignments and readings. Additionally, utilizing breaks during school hours for quick study sessions has been surprisingly effective. Sometimes, change of environment like working in cozy café can boost my productivity. What tactics have you found most helpful in managing your teaching responsibilities alongside graduate studies?
