Hey y'all, Burnout Senior here. This semester is hitting me hard with Capstone Project, Advanced AI, and Senior Thesis. Dealing with senioritis, job hunting stress, and thesis pressure. I've tried time management and self-care, but nothing sticks. How do you cope with this insane workload at Mississippi State University? Any advice appreciated!

There's something genuinely strange about the final semester of college that nobody prepares you for — you're simultaneously doing the hardest academic work of your degree while also being expected to make major life decisions about career and location and identity, while also emotionally processing the end of a chapter that defined four years of your life, while also maintaining the performance level that got you here. That's not a workload problem. That's an existential pile-on that happens to have deadlines attached.

The practical stuff matters — time blocking, talking to advisors, protecting sleep — but I think it also helps to just acknowledge that this specific season is genuinely hard in a way that's bigger than productivity hacks can fix. Most seniors are struggling more than their Instagram suggests. Mississippi State's academic culture in particular can make it feel like everyone else is handling it effortlessly when they really, really aren't.

Give yourself credit for still showing up. That counts for more than it feels like right now
