I want to share my story as a warning to everyone here. I found a website called EliteWriters (name changed but similar) that had amazing reviews.

They promised PhD writers, free revisions, and money-back guarantees. I paid $300 for a 15-page research paper. The first red flag was that they kept pushing back the deadline. Then, they sent me a paper that was 8 pages of gibberish, copied from Wikipedia, and formatted in some weird font I've never seen.

When I asked for a refund, they said I wasn't eligible because the 'revision period' had expired (even though they delivered late). I had to dispute it with my bank to get my money back. Lesson learned: stick to services that have been discussed in real forums like this, and never trust flashy websites with stock photos of people in lab coats.

• Fake reviews: They create multiple accounts or pay for positive reviews on third-party sites
• Stock photos: The "PhD writers" are stock images—reverse image search them and you'll find them on multiple scam sites
• Deadline games: They know most students won't dispute because they're scared of academic consequences
• Revision period traps: By the time you realize it's garbage, the window has closed

What to do next:

1. Bank dispute was correct—keep all documentation
2. Report to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov
3. Leave honest reviews on Trustpilot, SiteJabber, and BBB
4. Warn others in forums like this

The $300 hurts, but you got it back. More importantly, you're helping others avoid the same trap.
