I'm feeling pretty lost about what to major in because I'm interested in a bunch of different things. I've been thinking about exploring interdisciplinary studies, but I have no clue where to start. I'm struggling with time management, feeling homesick, and dealing with imposter syndrome.

It's been a real challenge trying to balance everything, and I constantly feel like I'm not good enough compared to my classmates. I'd love to hear from other students who have taken the interdisciplinary studies route here at Mississippi State or anyone who has advice on how to navigate this process.

What kind of resources does our university offer for students like me who are still figuring things out? How can I explore different fields without feeling overwhelmed? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

First off, huge props to you for even considering exploring interdisciplinary studies as an undecided freshman at Mississippi State! It's a smart move that shows you're willing to think outside the box. imo when i was in your shoes, feeling like a burnt-out potato in my senior year of computer science, i stumbled upon the career center at msu.

They helped me realize that adding some interdisciplinary courses could actually spice up my academic life and potentially boost my job prospects. I'd recommend checking out any career counseling services or academic advisors at State. These folks are like hidden gems on campus - they can help you navigate the maze of interdisciplinary studies and find what suits you best. To help you better, what subjects are you passionate about?

Have you thought about how combining different disciplines could shape your future career path?
