• The Flex: They have private practice rooms equipped with presentation technology. You can literally rehearse in a simulated environment, record yourself, and get feedback .
• Volume: ~2,000 individual appointments per year + dozens of workshops.
• Graduate students: They do specific workshops for you. Request them .

OLE MISS – WRITING CENTER:

• Where: Multiple locations + online.
• What: Free one-on-one consultations. Any discipline. Any stage of the process.
• The Underrated Service: Multimodal Guide. If your assignment is a video, a website, a PowerPoint, a poster—not just a paper—they have consultants who specialize in this.
• Live Online Chat: Video conferencing OR typed chat. You can screen-share your draft and edit in real time .

I used the Speaking Center before my thesis defense. I thought I was a good presenter. The consultant watched me gesture for 30 seconds and said: "You're touching your face every time you don't know the answer. Stop doing that."

EMCC represent! I had NO clue Brainfuse was free through Canvas. I've been struggling with my research paper for weeks and just assumed I'd have to pay some tutor $40/hour. You just saved my broke community college wallet.
