Hey, remember when you said you'd go back to school if you could figure out daycare? I found something. Hinds has a childcare center on the Raymond Campus. It's called the Early Childhood Education Technology Lab School. It's not just a babysitting room. It's where education students do their training, so there's actual teachers. Activities. Structure.

A student there told me: “I drop my son off at 8, go to class, pick him up at noon. I don't miss class because my sitter cancels. I don't drive across town.” The cost is sliding scale. Some people get help through financial aid. The catch? Spots fill up fast. Apply early. Like, before you even register for classes early. I know you've been putting this off for three years. I'm not saying it's easy. I'm saying there's a door. If you want it. Thought you should know. — Your cousin. 👶

I used the Hinds childcare center when I was a student. It's legit. The student teachers are supervised by actual early childhood faculty, so your kid is safe. And the sliding scale meant I paid practically nothing. The only downside is the waitlist. I applied in March for fall. Do not wait. Tell your cousin to call tomorrow.
