I've actually already written my personal statement. Like, seven drafts of it. My mom cried reading it (in a good way). My best friend said it sounds "so me." I talked about my journey from dropping out at nineteen to managing a restaurant to finally applying for my MBA. It's personal. It's real. It's mine.
But here's the thing. I'm a terrible editor of my own work. I can't see my own commas splices. I don't know if the structure works. I've read it so many times that words don't look like words anymore. They're just shapes. Is "passionate" even a real word? Help.
So when I started searching for the best graduate school essay writing service, I wasn't looking for someone to WRITE for me. I was looking for someone to help ME make my draft better. But every website I find is like "WE WILL WRITE YOUR ESSAY FROM SCRATCH" in huge capital letters with stock photos of people in business suits high-fiving. That's not what I need!
Has anyone found a service that actually does developmental editing for grad school applications? Like, someone who will tell me "your third paragraph is weak, here's why, now go fix it yourself"? I want a coach, not a ghostwriter. I want someone to look at my messy, beautiful draft and help me make it shine without losing my voice.
If you've used something like this, please drop recommendations. I'm desperate but also weirdly protective of my essay baby. It's MY story. I just need help telling it better.
