I just moved down to Oxford for grad school from out of state, and while I'm loving the sweet tea and the hospitality, my bank account is crying a little bit. 😂 Tuition is one thing, but the day-to-day stuff really adds up!

I've found a few little gems already (shout out to the 10% off at the local bookstore just for showing your student ID!), but I KNOW there are more out there. I'm talking food, clothes, software, haircuts, random weekend activities—anything and everything!

My goal for 2026 is to save enough on discounts to fund a big end-of-semester celebration. 🎓 So, I need your help! If you're a student in Mississippi, please drop your best finds in this thread. Let's make this the go-to list for everyone!

A few to get us started:
  • Sweet Peeps Bakery: If you show your ID after 2 PM, they sometimes have "student specials" on day-old pastries. So good. 🍩
  • Spotify/Hulu Bundle: Still a classic. Half off with a student email.
  • Local Gyms: Most of them around here offer a discounted semester pass instead of a yearly contract. Way cheaper!
What have you found? Any secret menu hacks? Any professors who offer extra credit for finding coupons? (A girl can dream! 💭). Drop 'em below!

Ooh ooh! Adding to the list:
La Michoacana (on N Lamar): They do student discounts sometimes? Just flash your ID and ask. Hit or miss but when it hits... $1 paletas. 🍭

Also Amazon Prime Student is half off and comes with all the regular perks. Free 6-month trial then like $7/month. Literal lifesaver for textbooks and random supplies.
