Even though I'm undeclared, balancing English Composition, College Algebra, and Biology can be a struggle. When it comes to lab-heavy majors like Chemistry at Mississippi State, time management is key!

Don't be afraid to reach out for help - whether it's your professors, classmates, or the university's tutoring center. Remember, it's okay to feel homesick and doubt yourself sometimes. Imposter syndrome is real, but you belong here! Hang in there and take it one assignment at a time. We got this!

"Chemistry major overwhelmed" is just redundant at this point. It's like saying "water is wet" or "the dining hall pizza is somehow both burnt AND cold"

Real talk: MSU chem labs are designed to break you so they can build you back up. The key is not taking it personally when your titration goes wrong for the 47th time.

My survival guide:

• Lab partners: Choose someone smarter than you but not so smart they make you feel dumb
• Pre-lab quizzes: Do them immediately when released, not the night before
• Calculations: Triple check. Then have someone else check. Then check again.
• Safety glasses: Always. Chem professor lore says someone lost an eye in 1987 and they're still traumatized.
