It's been a tough ride balancing academics with adjusting to a new country. The biggest challenge for me has been navigating campus resources. With the language barrier, cultural adjustment, and visa stress, I often find myself feeling overwhelmed.

There are so many support services and resources available that I don't even know where to start. I'm a diligent student who wants to succeed, but sometimes I feel lost in this sea of information. I've tried reaching out to professors, but I still feel like I need more guidance on where to go for specific needs. If any of you Mississippi State students have tips or advice on how to better utilize campus resources or where to find help with language barriers and cultural adjustments, I would greatly appreciate it.

Maybe you've had similar experiences or know someone who has gone through this. I want to adapt and excel in my courses, but I know I can't do it alone. Your insights could make a world of difference for me and other international students struggling like me. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer! 🌟

The MSU Libraries are HUGE but don't be intimidated. Go to the Mitchell Memorial Library info desk and just say "I'm new and overwhelmed." They'll give you a tour. Free printing, study rooms, computers, research help . There's even a coffee shop!! Also they have workshops on everything—citations, research databases, avoiding plagiarism. Saved my GPA honestly.
For language stuff, they have ESL resources too. Ask a librarian about "language learning materials." They'll show you stuff you didn't know existed. Librarians are literally the nicest people on campus and they LOVE helping confused students. It's their whole job. Use them!!
