I moved from Chicago to Ole Miss and I feel like I landed on another planet. Everyone already has friends from high school and I'm just... here. Eating alone in the dining hall. It's fine. Everything's fine.
The UM website says "orientation is a great way for students to know which resources are available" and to "make connections with staff members and peers" . But orientation was three days of information overload and I remember none of it.
Did anyone else feel this way freshman year? Like you're the only one who doesn't know what they're doing? Tell me it gets better.
