Is it normal to feel totally lost as a freshman at Ole Miss?

I moved from Chicago to Ole Miss and I feel like I landed on another planet. Everyone already has friends from high school and I'm just... here. Eating alone in the dining hall. It's fine. Everything's fine. 😂

The UM website says "orientation is a great way for students to know which resources are available" and to "make connections with staff members and peers" . But orientation was three days of information overload and I remember none of it.

Did anyone else feel this way freshman year? Like you're the only one who doesn't know what they're doing? Tell me it gets better. 🏈
