Remember when applied to Southern for undergrad, it wasn't overly selective. My experience with the admissions process was smooth, and they seemed more focused on holistic review rather than just test scores. Appreciated that approach as it felt like they truly cared about the individual. However, I've heard that some programs within Southern can be more competitive than others. Has anyone else found this to be true?. It's interesting to see how different departments may have varying levels of selectivity even within the same university.

Believe diverse student body enriches the educational experience for everyone. At JSU, being surrounded by students from various backgrounds broadened my perspectives and helped me grow personally and academically. Plus, it prepares us all for the real world, which is pretty darn diverse! How about you? Do you value diversity in your college experience, or do you focus on other aspects?
