ATTENTION DECEMBER 2025 AND MAY 2026 GRADS:

This is your two-week warning. The two largest career expos in the state are happening immediately.

MISSISSIPPI STATE UNIVERSITY
  • Date: Week of February 4, 2026 (literally this week)
  • Location: The Mill Conference Center
  • Who: ALL MSU students and alumni. Companies recruiting for internships, co-ops, and full-time positions .
  • Vibe: Engineering, manufacturing, tech, business. Toyota, Nissan, Amazon, etc. .
MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE

  • Date: February 17, 2026 | 11AM - 2PM
  • Location: B.C. Rogers Anderson Hall
  • Who: ALL MC students AND alumni who graduated within the last FOUR years .
  • Perks: Free Chic-fil-A, Einstein Bros, Brick Street Burgers. Business professional attire required. They have a shuttle from the parking lot .
  • Registration: Handshake. Do it now.
Here is what nobody tells you:

MC's expo is specifically designed for recent grads—not just current students. If you walked in December 2025 and are still job hunting, you are welcome here .

Also: MSU's Center for Manufacturing Excellence was literally founded at Toyota's request when the Corolla plant was built. These programs exist because employers ASKED for them .

So here is my ask:

If you attend either of these expos, drop the employer list in the comments.
  • Who is actually hiring?
  • Who is just "collecting resumes"?
  • What are the starting salaries they're quoting?
  • Do they ASK where you went to school, or do they just care that you're from Mississippi?
Let's stop treating career fairs like secret societies. Share the intel.

MC Alumni: Call 601.925.3901 if you have questions. They are expecting you

I cannot stress enough how crucial it is to hit up these expos if you're graduating in May. The job hunt is no joke, and these events are goldmines for meeting potential employers and making connections. Last year, I went to the Mississippi College Expo and landed a summer internship that turned into a part-time gig during the school year. It was all thanks to chatting with different employers, showing my portfolio, and being myself.

So, here's my advice to all you fine arts majors out there - come prepared with your ✨ work samples, dress to impress in your artsy style, and most importantly, be confident in your talent! I'm curious though - any specific art-related companies or galleries gonna be at these expos? I'd love to know who's gonna be scouting for fresh creative minds like ours.

Plus, maybe we could meet up there and support each other through the nerve-wracking process. smh if anyone needs help putting together their portfolio or even just wants a pep talk before the big day, hit me up! let's show these employers what we're made of.
