Seeking advice: What support services are available at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College for students in need?

I have found the support services here to be incredibly helpful. When first arrived, was bit overwhelmed by the adjustment to new country and academic system. However, the staff at the school made me feel welcome and provided guidance every step of the way. One service that stood out to me is the Academic Success Center. They offer tutoring in various subjects, which has been invaluable to me during challenging courses. The tutors are patient and knowledgeable, helping me improve my understanding of difficult concepts. Additionally, the Career Services office has been instrumental in assisting me with job opportunities on campus. They helped me create professional resume and provided mock interviews to prepare for potential job offers.

As an international student, having access to such resources has truly enhanced my college experience at the university. Moreover, the Counseling Center at the college offers mental health support for students in need. Adjusting to new environment can be stressful, and it’s comforting to know that professional help is available if needed. The counselors are approachable and understanding, creating safe space for students to express their concerns. Ovethe campusime at the college has been enriched by these support services. They have not only aided in my academic success but also contributed to my personal growth during my time here.
