Stressed about biology lab at Mississippi State University, any lab partners around?

First off, can we talk about how our lab manual is thicker than a Mississippi mud pie recipe book? I swear, I've never seen so many microscopic creatures in my life – and I'm from the swamps!

I'm just over here drowning in slides, petri dishes, and pipettes, feeling like a lost puppy in a chemistry lab. And to top it off, my imposter syndrome's screaming louder than those bulldogs at a football game.

Like, who even let me into this science circus? If any of y'all are also struggling to find their way out of this bio lab maze, hit me up! Maybe we can form a study group or something. Lord knows I need all the help I can get before Dr. Smith's next pop quiz sends me into a meltdown.

Survived MSU biology lab two years ago and want to say something about the imposter syndrome specifically because I remember it vividly. The swamps background is actually an asset in ways that aren't immediately obvious — genuine familiarity with biological environments, comfort with organisms that freak out students from more urban backgrounds, an intuitive sense of ecological relationships that classroom-only students have to build from scratch.

The lab manual doesn't test any of that directly, but the conceptual grounding it gives you shows up in ways that matter when the material gets more complex later in the semester
