After attending an orientation at the University of Southern Mississippi, I was pleasantly surprised by the dormitories and on-campus living options. The rooms were cozy and had everything a student would need, from study areas to communal spaces for socializing. I particularly enjoyed the sense of community within the dorms; I quickly made friends with my floormates and felt supported by the resident assistants. The proximity to classes and campus facilities made it convenient to navigate my daily schedule. However, I did notice that some dorms were older and could benefit from renovations. Overall, my initial impression of on-campus living at USM was positive, but I wonder what the process is like to request specific roommates. How was your experience with dorm life at USM?
