As an out-of-state student at Mississippi Valley State University, I have found the alumni network to be a valuable resource. The alumni I've connected with have been incredibly supportive and eager to help current students succeed. One memorable experience was when an alumna who now works at a prominent company offered to review my resume and provide guidance on job applications. This kind of personalized support made me feel like part of a close-knit community even though I was far from home. However, I do wish there were more structured networking events to facilitate interactions between current students and alumni.
